Points of note

All preliminary-round nominees agree to unconditionally provide the drawing data needed for the exhibitions and special publications of the event. Contestants being selected in the final round shall be separately provided with an operating fee of NT$600,000 by the Organizer (Party A) for them “to complete the application for the Construction License and the Construction Drawings (structure, water, and electricity) in accordance with relevant construction and architectural regulations, and to perform the obligations and duties required for a statutory supervisor.” For a contestant who is not an architect registered and running an architectural business in the Republic of China (Party B) or who is not a citizen of the Republic of China (Party B), the above-mentioned tasks shall be performed by an architect (Party C) selected by the said contestant, or an architect (Party C) offered by the Organizer, with whom the contestant shall cooperate. The relevant fees shall be negotiated by both parties (Party B and Party C) themselves. Contestants agree to all the regulations and rules for this competition formulated by Ya Qing Ocean Cultural & Creative Co., Ltd. (i.e., the Organizer), and agree that the Organizer has the right to publicly display, publish, reproduce, edit, modify, distribute, publicly transmit, publicly broadcast the competition works, and use them for subsequent planning/publication and authorization involving other relevant parties. The Organizer is also allowed to have the whole or part of a competition work published in media, or to use a work in any other way for promotional purposes. Contestants agree not to ask for payments or claim any fees for the said purposes of use, and agree that the Organizer owns the copyright of the works lodged for the design competition, and will not exercise copyright (including the moral rights and economic rights) and other rights against the Organizer and its authorized parties. The subsequent construction of the winning works will be handed over to “Ya Qing Ocean Cultural & Creative Co., Ltd.” for implementation. The work shall not be returned. Please retain a copy for yourself if necessary. The English translation of all information and documents for this competition is for reference only. If there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions, the Chinese version shall prevail. The Organizer reserves the right to amend relevant competition regulations and rules. For any changes to/in design guidelines, spatial requirements, the competition timeline, and other matters related to this competition, please refer to announcements on the abovementioned website. Further notifications for individual contestants will not be provided. The Organizer reserves the right to amend and determine items and matters not fully described in these regulations.
